Cold Front: Saturday, 10.22.16

On saturday, after the low drags the cool air mass across the gulf, we are still looking at a powerful 988 millibar low pressure system in the northeast, and a cold front boundary almost as far south as the Pacific Ocean.

Tow-Ats with Matt Kechele and John Akerman

Matt Kechele pulled his ski out on a glassy little little day down at the inlet with our friend John Akerman. What better thing to do on a small day down at the inlet than to tow into some wedging swell. Florida State of Emergency

The entire state of Florida is now in a state of emergency.  With each tack change the storm edges closer and closer to the Florida coast.  The current track is not a Florida direct hit,  but we still can not rule out a direct hit to Florida.  The east coast is going to get super gnar in the coming days.  Check out the executive order: Hurricane Matthew State of Emergency Executive Order
