Cold Front Surf Forecast: Weekend Outlook

It is now wintertime, although daytime temperatures have been reaching record highs on a daily basis for the past couple weeks. As a change of pace, this weekend the nighttime/early morning temperatures will fall into the low 40s in west Florida, and freezing rain may fall near the panhandle. The strongest Cold Front of the Season is Slated for This Weekend

Soak up the epic weather now, because this could be the change in the pattern that we surfers have been looking for.  The strongest cold front we have seen all winter is slated for this weekend.  Those 35 knot winds on the chart mean gale force winds.  The surf will be maxing out.  This is one of those days when every surfer from here to tim buck two visits the “secret spot.”  It is a day with, as they say, “real surf!” Continue reading The strongest Cold Front of the Season is Slated for This Weekend
