A Wave on Mothers Day ’17

It’s possible that we could see a wave over the next few days.    The west/northwest winds will be up as another cold front crosses the gulf. The winds will range from 10 to 15 knots.  Saturday and Sunday are the best chances for surf from this front.  The chances will be best in the evenings after the sea breeze increases the wind strength, and the sandbars shallow out. The high tides are just after mid-day, and dropping through the afternoon/evening.

Longboarding the Key on April 24th

Longboarding Sand Key
We really caught it good last week. On the sets the surf was pumping. The surf just got better and better as the afternoon progressed.  The conditions were epic.  Warm water makes for some of the most enjoyable days of surfing.  I can’t leave out the fact that the crowd was non-existent. Despite having surfed with this guy for years at the key, for the life of me, I can’t think of his name.  We were catching some epic warm water surf. It was another fun day of surfing on the gulf coast.
