Surfing: Better than Sex

On this breezy January day the surf was pumping into the beach around 5 feet at 8 seconds from the west.  So far this month we have had a quickly cooling weather patter, but on this day, and for this time of year, the weather was mild until the afternoon when the temperatures took a quick dive.  The breeze was moderate and the water was reasonably warm.  The green water waves were lining up quite well and the rides were incredible. Golden Hour: A small west swell at Honeymoon Island State Park.

Honeymoon Island pass is the ideal place for paddleboarding.  The waves on the shoals and in the pass break further than anywhere I’ve ever seen.
