Golden Hour: A small west swell at Honeymoon Island State Park.

Honeymoon Island pass is the ideal place for paddleboarding.  The waves on the shoals and in the pass break further than anywhere I’ve ever seen.

The falling temperatures and moderate breeze made this evening a beautiful one for sailing.  The water temperature is just warm enough for board-shorts.  And surprisingly, the surf from this cold front was ridable for shortboards. Continue reading Radical Grommets

Mysto Swell Continued…

This day the winds from the low over the state were the strongest they were during the whole month long surfing event in July.  The waves were coming in at 7 feet at 7 seconds.  This is the biggest Clearwater was all summer.  It also similar to the best waves we got all winter.  The only drawback was the strong longshore drift.   But, man was it pumping.
