Fireball Over the Gulf of Mexico

On November 22nd a strange ball of light fell from the sky. Was it an alien space ship? Probably not. If I were to guess, as anyone might, I would guess this was an extra large meteor from a hailstorm burning up as it entered our atmosphere. And, it looks like it could have been a part of the Leonids meteor shower.

Leonids Fireball over Clearwater Beach, Florida on November 22nd, 2016:

From Nasa:
Leonids
Comet of Origin: 55P/Tempel-Tuttle
Radiant: constellation Leo
Active: Nov. 5-30, 2016
Peak Activity: Nov. 17-18, 2016
Peak Activity Meteor Count: 15 meteors per hour
Meteor Velocity: 44 miles (71 kilometers) per second
Notes: The Leonids are usually a modest shower, with the peak occurring in the dark hours before dawn, A near-full moon will likely upstage the show.

On June 2nd of this year, over Arizona, a large fireball lit up the sky.  It was very similar to the November 22nd fireball over the Gulf. According the data from Nasa the meteor was about 5 feet in diameter, had a mass of a few tons, and was traveling at 40,200 miles per hour.
