Cuts and Scrapes

Ouuuuch.

What makes the new t-groins so daunting is the peak.  Depending on the tide and size of the swell the peak shifts around.  When it’s big the peak can be deep on the inside corner of the groins.  Catching waves far in front of the jetty where the best waves were breaking risks serious collision with the jetty.  Even surfing the ends of the jetty can be risky as you can see by the cuts from the rocks.  The jetty doesn’t play nice.  But if your a surfer your no stranger to cuts and scrapes.  It’s just an unavoidable part of surfing in dangerous conditions.
