Is This Communism?

IMG_7542

Here in Lansbrook in East Lake, Florida just East of Clearwater Beach. Something doesn’t look right. There’s a sidewalk trail around a lake that is claiming to be owned by Tarpon Lake Villages. That same trail looks like it’s a part of the East Lake Fire Station property. It looks like public and private property are no different in terms of where the money is coming from and being spent. Both properties are sitting right up against this private lake. What do you want to bed that when this was initially acquired it was a cooperative purchase. Both building seem to be on the same land cut out of a thick forest around a joint use waterfront lake view. It’s also the same sidewalk ouside the Lansbrook Golf Club and the YMCA. This stuff doesn’t look private to me. What we’re told, and what I see just doesn’t add up.

Suncoast Surf Shop Sells Garbage

Unfortunately, this board is just not working out. I guess I’m just going to have to go to the east coast to pick up a new one. This board is just trash. It probably says something about communist and socialist policies where the amount of effort you put forth doesn’t impact the reward you receive. This board came with a little sticker that said, Made in China. My recommendation is, don’t buy the trash that comes out of China or the garbage surfboards they’re trying to peddle at Suncoast Surf Shop. You might want to try going to the east coast to buy one.

The board doesn’t ride like it should and it’s shape is wack. The manufacturing is just garbage. Why are they selling this trash. I was riding it at honeymoon with a light crowd and the slightest ding destroyed the board, a regular collision. Kahekili was taking off on a wave, and we had the lightest board on board contact. It put a gnarly gash down near the tail by the fins. Then, just now, as I was taking a picture of the board for the last and final surf wax, you’re using too much article post, I leaned the board against the wall, only to have it fall over. It fell over as all of my other boards have 100 times before, except that there’s something wrong with this new board. Even the longboard falling over should come down with added weight, but wasn’t damaged anything like this board. When this brand new board hit the ground about 1/5 of the rail was completely shattered from the impact of the board simply falling over. That shouldn’t happen.

It rides like shit, it’s made like shit, and it’s not enough foam despite what the shop manager Jordy at Suncoast Surf Shop said. I’m really disappointed with it. Joe Nuzzo needs to make some changes.

Government Shutdown from the Senate Floor

The US government has officially begun the shut down.  An agreement could not be made by midnight last night on a funding bill. This means that many parts of the US government have not been funded for the next funding cycle.  Non-essential government employees will be furloughed as agencies wind down.  Currently the bill has been tabled, and soon leaders will again be considering ways of reopening the government.  Another vote will happen in the coming days.

Minutes before midnight, the funding deadline, the white house press secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted this message:

The senator in the middle of the front row with his hand covering his eyes in what would appear to be frustration, exhaustion, and sadness says a lot about what transpired:
US Senate Floor Government Shut Down

There were a total of 50 votes, but a total of 60 votes were needed to pass the funding bill. Unfortunately, the Senate could not reach an agreement to re-fund the government.
