It’s the last day of grouper season. I’m headed to the ramp. Hopefully I’ll have good stories to tell.
Headed offshore:
The sun’s going down. I missed another fish to a spit hook. The count is two spit hooks and one break off. That’s fish 3, fisherman zero. I’m stuck using small shrimp until I catch more bait. Who knows how much longer I’ll be at it. The tides and bite seems to have slowed. That might have been my last chance for a while to put a big one in the cooler.
5:45pm and I just got another pinfish in the water.
