Here it comes: Fall Snook Season 2016

Snook season is just about to get underway. We are just 17 days out from the start of snook season. The official opening day of the Fall portion of the 2016 snook season is September 1st. Right around this time every year snook become harvestable by recreational anglers. The sport fish remains harvestable until December 1st, when the season closes, until it reopens in late winter, early spring. There is a slot for these fish. The slot is the length range where a captured fish must fall into to be harvested. The fish you harvest can be no shorter than 28 inches and no longer than 33 inches. You’ll also need a snook tag along with your recreational fishing license to harvest the fish. The important moon phases for the remainder of the 2016 snook season are listed below.
