Gulf Surf – Day 4 of 4

Many people capitalized on the various opportunities to score some of the best spots with their most pristine conditions.

As the final day in this four day run of swell has come to a close the beaches have cleared.  The energy from the front is dissipating and the bouys are beginning to return to their usual state. The skies are clearing, and the water and air is beginning to warm.  The surfers are returning to their regularly scheduled activities, and they are beginning to recharge.

The thrashing, gashing, launching, and landing, at a level unseen in the gulf before, has run its course.

The constant pinging of west swell onto the beaches has been an epic event.   The four days of swell, right in a row, is unusual for the gulf, and has left many of us hungry for more.
