Super Micro Wind Lumps

I rolled down to the beach today unsure if there would be anything at all. As it turns out there was the most micro line you could imagine. I caught a bunch of fun little waves. It was the very best when I first got there, because it was right after the mid incoming. I surfed for maybe an hour by myself. Then Randy got there and not long after Yana. We tried to surf the small mush. We caught a few. Randy is suggesting it should be better tomorrow. Yana said the afternoon looks like the time to surf. I let a random beachgoer use my surf board, and she actually got up on the board. It was pretty cool. It may even have been her first time. The weather got really nice on the drive home after sunset. I stopped and sat by my pond and ate, because there was this one deer walking around. I watched him and he watched me. It felt very peaceful this evening with the slightly overcast skies and cooler than usual weather. Hopefully tomorrow is another great day.

Keep Playing

That series of three fun cold fronts was probably the conclusion to the springsuit wetsuit season. We’re fully into the “summer” now. As I write this I’m cleaning the sand out of my car. There’s also a solid summer rainstorm pouring down outside the garage. The loudest bolt of lighting just rang through the area seconds after it lit up the overcast sky. There are still some fun things to do as the weather heats up and the gulf flattens out.  The full moon is on Sunday and larger afternoon outgoing tides are still the trend with large incomings in the mornings. Morning sunrises and sunsets are usually a great time to go fishing. It’s also a good time to stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning. Watch for the potential to have a good tropical storm or hurricane at the start of hurricane season around June 1st.
