The lightning took the final game of the series last night at home in Tampa Bay where seats were selling for 2000 dollars on ticketmaster. In a packed house the lightning showed Canada who’s the boss in the hockey world. Those Canadians learned that you don’t need frozen ponds to have the best hockey team in the world. The victory was a well deserved victory through a hard fought battle with the Canadian, although I’m not sure what that team was doing in that final. The lightning seemed like a much better team. The Stanley Cup is going to have it’s home here in Tampa Bay for another year. The team is celebrating it’s victory at two events. Check them out if you have the time:
The lightning are well on their way to winning back to back Stanley Cups. This is looking like it’s going to be their third win in the series. The lightning are leading two to nothing in the series with 9 minutes left in the third game. The lightning are winning 4 to 1 in this game. It could end up being a shutout in this series. The last game looks like it’s going to be right here in Tampa Bay. Go Lightning!
We’re expecting a big win tonight when the lightning play game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. It’s been a hard fought battle. The series is tied at 3 to 3. It was looking like they were going to head to the Stanley Cup final when in the last period the Islanders found the back of the net to tie it up, keeping their hopes alive for just a little longer. Those hopes will be squashed tonight after the lightning show them how the Tampa Bay Lightning took home the cup last time. The game tonight is going to be broadcast at 8pm eastern. It’s sure to be be a great game!
