Morning Sickness Today

March 19, 2023 Raymond Hess

1pm: It started to get really fun around the high tide. The weather is really nice. It warmed up quick. There should be a little wave for the rest of the day.
7:30am:
It’s small. Wait till later if you’re thinking of heading to the beach. I would wait till around 11 at the high tide if I didn’t have shit to do.

  • Another System Headed Our Way
It might be worth jumping in the water today. The weather model says we’ll see small long period west northwest swell coinciding with south winds towards the beginning of the weekend event next Saturday and Sunday. The winds look all jumbled as it happens. Next weekend’s swell starts with long period small west swell, switching … Continue reading Another System Headed Our Way →
  • Sea Screamer Throwing Out Skim
We always knew boat wake on the beach had skim potential. These guys combined a big boat wake and a sandy ledge on a flat spring day on the gulf to create a wave skimboarders usually only dream about.

  • Surf Report 5:30pm 4-7
The south wind’s putting texture on the chop we call waves. It’s drifty. If only we had a jetty that blocked the south current. Just day dreaming.
