Clearwater Beach Parking

Clearwater Beach Parking

Full list of on the beach public parking lots by address.

Clearwater Beach is in rapid expansion.  The beach is becoming more densely built, and people are flocking to the beach.  Parking can be difficult to find on this densely constructed island.  Some of the parking along the beach is at north beach, south beach, and Sand Key.

North Beach is to the north of the roundabout.  There are many metered and free parking areas along the streets of north beach.  Just before the round-a-bout, just off a road called East Shore Drive, a small lot sits right in the vicinity of Pier 60 and the Clearwater marina.  Then when traveling north along Mandalay avenue, just before the CVS there is another small lot.  This is just across the street from the beach.  Continuing north, a larger metered lot is located at Mandalay Ave and Bay Esplanade.  Then, just past Bay Esplanade there are many free parking spaces lining Mandalay and the adjoining streets.  Popular streets include Avalon, Heilwood, Glendale, and Idlewild.

Then along south beach, there are also some metered parking spaces.  At the roundabout and across from the pier, the marina has a variety of metered parking spaces, but isn’t for beach parking.  Pier 60 also has a large lot, but it is often full.  Along Coronado, a block from the beach, parallel metered parking lines the road.  A small lot is at 5th and Coronado.  There is also a parking lot along Bayway, next to the Clearwater pass, just off South Gulfview Boulevard.

Just over the Sand Key bridge, the quiet island of Sand Key has a large park, Sand Key Park.  This park is right on the Beach and boasts a large parking lot right on the beach.  This is also a popular surf destination.  The park uses a system where the visitor pays a 5 dollar parking fee for the entire day.  A bit further down the key, the shops on Sand Key have a small lot.  Heading south down the Key, a free parking lot called Bay Park is situated at the southern end of Sand Key on Gulf Boulevard.

This covers the majority of public parking in Clearwater.  While some lots are metered, some use the five dollar ticket system, and others are free, there is no shortage of parking.  Also, take a look at this article: Free Parking on Clearwater Beach.  Now that you know about all these parking areas you should have little trouble finding parking in Clearwater.
